Let’s imagine that you are running a business and you need to write or compose several business documents. It would be better and faster in this case if you had some templates to work with. Thus, you wouldn’t need to compose the same type of document again and again and you would only need to modify existing ones.
An application which can help you in this situation is Business-in-a-Box. Being the most popular application for business document templates, Business-in-a-Box includes almost any kind of business document template and allows you to freely modify each of them. After the program has been installed and launched, the user will be able to select the desired business document template from the left side of the interface. For making it easier to find a specific document type and also for better organizing them, all the templates are organized in several virtual folders and the user can display them according to category or according to type. For example, if he wants to write a credit document, he can just navigate to the «Credit and collections» folder and then choose the «Credit» sub-folder.
Document templates can be modified either directly in the program’s interface, using the built-in text editor, or by using external applications, like Microsoft Word. Business-in-a-Box can automatically detect the installation of Microsoft Word and in case it doesn’t find it, it will automatically use its internal text editor.
In case the user wants to find a specific document template, he can use the search feature or he can access the «Tasks» tab, which allows him to quickly find a certain type of document, according to the task he needs to complete. After the desired document has been modified, the user can save it either in the proprietary .btd format or as a regular DOC file.
Pros:
It includes a large collection of document templates and all of them are organized in several virtual folders. What’s more, the user can sort document templates according to various criteria, like type, category or task. Furthermore, it includes a built-in text editor which can be used in case Microsoft Word is not installed into the system.
Cons:
The demo version lacks some features.
